Crowns & Bridges

Our highly skilled dentist, Dr Michael Yang, and his experienced staff are committed to providing excellent quality treatment at Airport Smile Lounge

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over an existing tooth that has been prepped and shaped.

This helps to strengthen, restore and improve the appearance of your natural tooth. A crown is needed when your tooth has been extensively filled, is cracked or broken, when there is not enough tooth structure left for a traditional filling or an inlay or onlay, or after root canal treatment.

A dental bridge is used when you are missing one or more teeth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of a gap, the two anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth and have one or several fake teeth in between. These fake teeth are called pontics. A dental bridge will prevent the movement of teeth on either side of the space and conserve your smile and oral health. To construct a dental bridge, we take an impression of your teeth and send it to our laboratory and they are precision crafted by a qualified dental technician.

Crowns and bridges may be used in conjunction with each other to restore your smile. There are many types of crowns available depending on different situations.

We use crowns that are produced by the CAD-CAM system, which is the cutting edge of dentistry.
